In the history of design, only a very few designs can be continuously reinterpreted, while retaining a distinctive personality. Among these rare projects stays the Fortuny lamp, created in 1907 by the Venetian textiles trader, set designer and artist Mariano Fortuny, overturning the technical lighting and aesthetic rules of the time.

Reintroduced over the years by Pallucco both in the original version, intended to create diffused lighting, and in many new versions which explore the world of fabrics and fashion design, Fortuny appears in another outfit created with fabrics crafts from the famous textiles company Rubelli.

An outer “black dress” in James Dean fabric with a semi-shiny texture similar to raffia, matched with an internal in laminated linen with bronze threads, which maintains the reflected-light effect but at the same time surprises in its dark color.

Incandescent: 1 light bulb 500W, connection/fitting E40, luminous flux 8400 Lumen, or 300W, connection/fitting E40, luminous flux 4600 Lumen (Fortuny Pétite).

LED : 1 power LED 48W, 3000°K, duration 50.000 h, luminous flux 5000 Lumen

1 power LED 32W 3000°K, duration 50.000 h, luminous flux 3500 Lumen (Fortuny Pétite).

Rubelli fabrics:

External: black, semi-gloss texture fabric similar to raffia. Synthetic yarn coupled with cotton cloth.
